ONE YEAR OLD children with their first steps become more
independent and ready to travel their surroundings
where they can explore and discover objects all around.

Travelers
This group is formed by one-year-old children, divided into two groups: Early Travelers & Travelers. When children turn one, they leave their baby days behind to become active, curious and energetic individuals, ready to develop new skills. They find pleasure in causing things to happen and in completing basic tasks. Once they find something that they like, they want to make it happen again and again!

The Travelers classroom is design with wide open spaces that allow children to move freely from one place to another, it is divided into areas that separate noisy activities from quiet activities in order to benefit both types of play. We’ve created a place for gross motor development where children can climb, slide, go up and down stairs and crawl as well as a space where children can apply their senses; touching, feeling, looking and hearing so they can experiment with all types of learning. Language opportunities are extremely important at this stage in life that’s why there is a space design for language development where children can manipulate books, listen to songs, watch images that they can describe and manipulate puppets and props to recreate situations.
